| Resource Corner Helpful hints for CEC member organizations Livable Communities The EPA’s Livable Communities website (www.epa.gov/livability/) has a comprehensive list of links to EPA programs and resources related to livable communities, and complements the older federal Clinton-Gore Livable Communities website. The new EPA site includes links to such national programs as community grant opportunities and Better America Bonds. Other listed EPA national programs are intended to empower individuals and communities, encourage smart growth, reclaim brownfields, enhance water resources, create better homes and work places, and promote transportation choices. The federal website, found at www.epa.gov/livability/, was created in order to assist communities in achieving three goals: sustaining prosperity, improving quality of life, and restoring a sense of community. |
