Purpose Statement: To educate the community about natural resource conservation, recycling, reduction of solid waste, and responsible actions that protect the environment and its inhabitants.

Publications: Newsletter; various lists: where to recycle, products and less toxic alternatives, environmental books in the Montgomery County Library.

Major Events: The Woodlands Earth Day in April. Also, co-sponsor of Walk in the Woods Lecture Series (February-April and August-October).

Children’s Activities: Earth Day festivities; Environmental Button Contest; school lectures.
