Purpose Statement: To respond to all marine mammal strandings along the entire Texas Gulf Coast; to respond to and care for live stranded marine mammals; to promote public education about marine mammals; to support student projects about marine mammals through scholarships and/or grants in aid of research; to support scientific research of stranded animals.

Publications: Quarterly newsletter; scientific database; web site with current strandings, current events, merchandise, education curriculum and materials, and other information.

Major Events: Fins Up silent auction fundraisers, "Dolphin Awareness Month" - March.

Children’s Activities: Educational programs aimed at primary and secondary students as well as adults. Lectures and classroom activities available. Currently developing educational curriculum for public schools as well as home schooling.
