Purpose Statement: To improve citizens' quality of life by protecting and preserving the natural resources of the San Jacinto watershed, and by proactively promoting responsible, planned "smart growth."

Publication: Quarterly.

Programs: Quarterly meetings are open to the public, and include a speaker on a topic relevant to our mission.

Major Events: River Bottom Festival (March 9) and East Fork/West Fork Challenge Canoe Marathon (March 10) at Lake Houston State Park.

Children’s Activities: River Bottom Festival includes many outdoor and environmental education activities for youth.

Meeting Time: Meetings held quarterly at Atascocita Lutheran Church, 7927 FM 1960 E. at 7 pm. Contact Nancy Simpson at 281-324-6433 for dates.

Volunteer Opportunities: We need volunteers to help out at the River Bottom Festival, to help organize the event, and to help with various other projects, including the newsletter. We do tree planting projects in the Humble, Atascocita, Kingwood region.
