Purpose Statement: Moody Gardens is a public, nonprofit educational destination utilizing nature in the advancement of rehabilitation, conservation, recreation, and research.

Publication: Pyramid Press (quarterly member newsletter); Pyramid Kids (children’s newsletter); Educator News (teacher’s newsletter); Tropical Rainforests (teacher curriculum guide); Oceans of the World (teacher curriculum guide).

Major Events: Special People’s Mardi Gras Ball (Feb), Easter Egg Hunt (Mar or Apr), Diez y Seis (Sept), Horse Show (Oct), Ghostly Gardens (Oct), Nutcracker Sundays (Dec).

Children’s Activities: Rainforest Exploration, Ocean Exploration, and Discovery Exploration educational field trip programs; Pyramid Kids Camp; Camp Discovery (for children with special needs); sleepovers; scout workshops; birthday parties; Traveling Rainforest Trunk.

Volunteer Opportunities: Various opportunities such as visitor interaction, dive maintenance of aquariums, administrative support, therapy assistance, ticket scanning, etc. Contact the Volunteer Coordinator for an application (x4109). Internships also available.
