Purpose Statement: To preserve a sustainable portion of the Katy Prairie for the benefit of its wildlife and all Texans forever.
Speakers Bureau: Speakers available for birding,
nature, wildlife, school, and outdoor groups.
Board Meeting: Second Tuesday of the month, 6:00-7:30 p.m., Houston Environmental Center, Suite 280 (3015 Richmond at Eastside)
Major Events: Monthly tours of the Katy Prairie; special events; educational field trips; annual meeting; viewing platform open to the public at site 100 on the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail, Upper Texas Coast; Annual Christmas Bird Count-A-Thon on January 1st.
Volunteer Opportunities: Fundraiser, Land management,
acquisition, administrative, outdoor education, and community outreach
volunteer opportunities available as well as 2-3 workdays annually.
