Purpose Statement: The Houston Parks Board, Inc. is a tax-exempt, charitable organization committed to representing the private donor, managing the private donor’s contributions to purchase new park land, and making improvements to existing property in the Houston Parks System.
Publications: 2002/2003 Biannual Report.
Programs: Land Acquisition Campaigns; collaborations with other green groups; Neighborhood Partnership Program; placement of Commemorative Benches and Commemorative Trees within Houston-area parks.
Speakers Bureau: Candyce P. Rylander, Trent Rondot.
Children's Activities: Playground for all children, Hermann Park; Development of water playgrounds in various Houston area parks.
Meeting Times: Fourth Tuesday of every month,
except July, August, and December.
