Houston Arboretum & Nature Center Ruth Milburn, Executive Director 4501 Woodway Drive Purpose Statement: To provide education about the natural environment to people of all ages and to protect and enhance the Arboretum as a haven and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Publications: Bimonthly newsletter to members, monthly newsletter to volunteers, Annual Report, Monthly calendar of events on website. Programs: Girl Scout & Boy Scout Workshops, tours for scouts. Tadpole Troopers classes and Nature Story Hour for ages 3 to 5. Naturalist Explorer Classes and Summer Nature Discovery Classes for ages 5 to 12. Guided Field Experiences for school groups. For adults: Naturalist Certification Classes and Natural History Field Trips. Also, Birdwatchers Club for adults second Monday of every month at 7 pm. Speakers Bureau: Ruth Milburn.
