Purpose Statement: To ignite a passion for learning and to develop good environmental stewards for Houston’s future.

Publications: InTouch (bimonthly newsletter sent to 9,500 Museum members, elected and appointed officials and media); annual report.

Major Events: Environmentally themed weekends and free family nights throughout the year. Call for specific topics and dates.

Regular Public Meeting Time: None. The Children’s Museum is open for general admission Tuesday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Sundays Noon-5 p.m., and open for free every Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Call museum for summer hours.

Children’s Activities: More than 50 hands-on activities in the area of environmental science in addition to 13 other galleries of interactive exhibits for children ages 0-12 years.
