Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour 2018

FB-Header-The-RidgeFollowing our wildly successful 2017 showing, the Citizens’ Environmental Coalition is proud to bring the Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Tour, one of the largest environmental film festivals in North America, back to Houston for the fourth year for two nights: January 24 & 25, 2018!
filmfestival2015marquee_smaller_croppedWe invite you to join us at the 2018 W&SFF On Tour to be held at the historic River Oaks Theatre, where up to 450 patrons each night will enjoy about 10 different films each night highlighting the latest environmental issues. We selected films that showcase the links between beauty, environment, adventure, quality of life, and action.

By showing these films, CEC is working to connect individuals and organizations to create a stronger Gulf Coast environmental community.

We invite you to become a sponsor of this exciting event. Sponsorship is an amazing opportunity to align your organization with our community and inspire people to take environmental action where they live. You will also support over 130 local organizations that are part of the CEC, and raise awareness for your own green initiatives.

Thank you to our festival sponsors: Hayley Pallister, Lawrence Spence, Judge Steven Kirkland, Richard Barton, and the following:

Local Films Telling Local Environmental Stories

CEC is using this festival to tell local environmental stories, highlight the work of CEC’s member organizations, and to inspire our residents and visitors to make a difference in our environment and quality of life. In partnership with the Houston Green Film Series, CEC hosted a one-night screening of local environmental films in November 15, 2017, and the audience voted for two films to be selected for inclusion in the January 2018 festival: Houston, at What Cost? and Urban Pocket Prairies.
