Encourage your child’s curiosity about nature and spend time with them exploring outdoors!

Children 18 months to 3 years, with their adult companions, can join a naturalist for a story reading, a simple nature activity or craft, and a stroller-friendly hike on the beautiful Arboretum trails. Enjoy an interesting new nature experience each week with themes such as bats, raccoons, owls, and trees.

Cost per class: Free for Family Tree Members and above (please have member card on hand); $7 per child for nonmembers (younger siblings are welcome for free). Pay at the door, advanced registration not necessary.

Please note – as of January 2017, Tyke Hikes are $7 per child for nonmembers.

Note: Please dress for the weather. Tyke Hikes take place rain or shine! Closed-toe shoes are best for trail hikes. Older preschoolers are welcome but are the responsibility of the adult companion.
