Transition Houston March Meeting

February 23, 2015 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm America/Chicago Timezone
Christ the King Lutheran Church
Christ the King Lutheran Church
2353 Rice Boulevard, Houston, TX 77005
Transition Houston March Meeting @ Christ the King Lutheran Church | Houston | Texas | United States

Our March meeting will feature a presentation and Q&A by Jacob Genauer, from Citizens Climate Lobby.  Citizens Climate Lobby (CCL) is a group that was formed in order to organize and empower citizens to push for a carbon fee and dividend – the preferred solution of former NASA climate scientist James Hansen.

We will also discuss what’s going on in our Action Groups and Neighborhood Initiatives.
As is our tradition, the business program will end at 8:30 and the time for refreshments, conversation, and community will begin.  We invite everyone who can to bring something to share with the rest of the group.  We’ll need to be out of the space at 9:00pm, in consideration of the facility staff.
Transition Houston meets in several venues for our monthly meetings. This month we will be meeting at Christ the King Lutheran Church, near Rice Village. We expect to be in the parish hall (but if we aren’t, look for us downstairs).
Parking: If the Church lot is full, a parking option is the Rice University parking lot across Greenbriar from the Church ($1). Bicycle parking is in the greenspace within the church parking lot. The Metro 26 and 27 have stops close by (although it appears that the last pickup for the 27 is at 8:20pm, so you would need to leave the meeting early to make it).
