Join Wild & Scenic Rivers Council, together with other partners like American Rivers and the River Management Society for a weekend of free events as they celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. The Rio Grande Wild and Scenic River has three canyons and runs for 196 miles along the Mexican border. This rural area of the country has beautiful birding and is best accessed by canoe or raft. Celebrations will include the Grand Re-Opening of the Rio Grande Village Visitor Center, a 50th Anniversary party and free rangers talks and tours. Contact [email protected] for more details.
