TCEQ Agenda Meeting: Meeting Time will be on Aug 8, 2018. Agenda items include:

  • Item 6: Agreed Order assessing administrative penalties and requiring certain actions of Houston Refining LP in Harris County for air quality violations. The total penalty assessed is $84,188.
  • Item 7: Agreed Order assessing administrative penalties and requiring certain actions of Shell Oil Company in Harris County for air quality violations. The total penalty assessed is $13,125.
  • Item 8: Agreed Order assessing administrative penalties against Solutia Inc. in Brazoria County for air quality violations.The total penalty assessed is $9,682.
  • Item 10:Agreed Order assessing administrative penalties and requiring certain actions of TEXAS BARGE & BOAT, INC. in Brazoria County for water quality violations. The total penalty assessed is $20,700.
  • Item 11: Agreed Order assessing administrative penalties against LCY ELASTOMERS LP in Harris County for water quality violations. The total penalty assessed is $78,750.
  • Item 18: Agreed Order assessing administrative penalties and requiring certain actions of Aqua Texas, Inc. in Harris and Polk Counties for water quality violations. The total penalty assessed is $28,300.
  • Item 23:Agreed Order assessing administrative penalties and requiring certain actions of ADICO ENTERPRISES INC. dba Scarsdale Shell in Harris County for petroleum storage tank violations. The total penalty assessed is $12,000.
  • Item 30:Default and Shutdown Order assessing administrative penalties against and requiring certain actions of M.A.A.A. ENTERPRISES, INC. dba Clinton Food Market in Harris County for petroleum storage tank violations pursuant. The total penalty assessed is $24,800.
  • Item 38:Agreed Order assessing administrative penalties and requiring certain actions of SAHIL VENTURES, INC. dba Paradise Food Mart in Montgomery County for public drinking water violations.The total penalty assessed is $7,725.
  • Item 47: The Commission will receive comments from the public on any matters within the jurisdiction of the TCEQ in accordance with Texas Water Code Section 5.112, with some exceptions. In the interest of time, speakers will be limited to three minutes each, with the total time for public comment limited to one hour. Please note that the Commission’s discussion of subjects for which public notice has not been given are limited to statements of specific factual responses and recitation of existing policy.

Houston City Council Agenda – July 24, 2018

The City will consider the following agenda items at the July 24, 2018, Houston Council Meeting. The agenda items include water line, waste water, and waste hauling matters. The City will also be considering a contract to develop a long-range municipal solid waste management plan; the plan shall include strategies and methodologies for waste reduction, recycling and reuse.
