Environment Matters: CEC Monthly Social Event @ Eureka Heights Brewing Company
May 31 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Quality of Life on a Changing Planet

Join the Citizens’ Environmental Coalition (CEC) for Environment Matters- a monthly gathering for anyone interested in the environment. Our guest speaker, David Crossley will be sharing some of his extensive wisdom on sustainability, urbanism, and the environment. Did you know that, in addition to founding and directing Houston Tomorrow, where his focus has been on urban growth issues as they relate to quality of life, he has served on local, state, and national boards and committees, including a stint as the president of CEC’s board of directors? Grab a seat & beverage for an inclusive and interactive get together. Learn from experts, find out about local events, and enjoy the fun! If you are new to the Houston environmental community, this will be a great event to connect.

You may bring food and nonalcoholic drinks. Beer is available for purchase.

Where: Eureka Brewery, 941 W 18th St, Houston, TX 77008, http://www.eurekaheights.com/

Earth Day Houston 2018 planning committee meeting @ United Way of Greater Houston
Jun 20 @ 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Earth Day Houston 2018 planning committee meeting @ United Way of Greater Houston | Houston | Texas | United States
The CEC is excited to be taking over Earth Day Houston, a task that it hasn’t managed since 2004. An alliance of almost 150 organizations that do environmental work in the Houston/Gulf Coast region, CEC hosted Houston’s first Earth Day in 1970–so we have a long history of bringing the environmental community together to celebrate. This is our second EDH 2018 planning committee meeting and you are welcome to join us.  For more information, contact Marina Rossow marina@cechouston.org.
