Save the Date! Future of Leadership Luncheon 2016

Featuring a Rare Appearance by LAURA ARNOLD on Transformative Philanthropy

Honoring KELLY FRELS with the Eugene H. Vaughan Civic Leadership Award

Every spring the Center for Houston’s Future salutes civic leadership across the Greater Houston Region at our Future of Leadership Luncheon. On Wednesday, March 23, 2016, it is our particular pleasure to have entrepreneurial philanthropist Laura Arnold as our keynote speaker, sharing her innovative perspective on achieving transformational change in our community and in our nation. And the Center is delighted to recognize Kelly Frels — Retired Partner, now Senior Counsel at Bracewell and Giuliani, LLP, and former Texas Bar President — for his lifelong advocacy in education and quality of life, with the 2016 Eugene H. Vaughan Civic Leadership Award.

We look forward to bringing you up to speed on our latest Community Indicator research as we expand our work on Civic Vitality with a deeper exploration of our region’s remarkable Diversity as well as its Philanthropy.

We are extremely fortunate to have Chevron returning as our Presenting Sponsor for the eighth consecutive year.

The luncheon is the Center’s most well-attended event each year (the latest drew a crowd of more than 800), and the best tables fill quickly. We encourage you to reserve your place among the region’s most thoughtful and visionary leaders.

WHO’S GOT THE POWER?
Houston’s Energy Outlook
Harnessing the power of fossil fuel created the modern world. Oil in various forms runs everything from lawnmowers to tractors to jets. It provides the sort of dependable mobility that gets us across town or around the world.

Houston has been a global energy capital throughout the modern age. As the world gets smaller, the climate more unpredictable, borders uncertain and populations less settled, how do we continue to deliver the resources and technology that help guarantee modern life?
