Featuring hands-on crafts and learning opportunities from non-profit partners, birds of prey show, music and entertainment from local performers, the park’s splash pad and tasty treats from local food trucks, this year’s Kids Day will surely captivate every child’s imagination. Families will also have the opportunity to ride aboard BBP’s pontoon boat Spirit of the Bayou, and learn how to paddle in a kayak along Houston’s historic waterway.
“Since Buffalo Bayou Partnership has recently launched a major planning effort along Buffalo Bayou’s East Sector, we are so pleased to host one of our signature events in this historic and culturally diverse neighborhood,” said Anne Olson, President of Buffalo Bayou Partnership.
The event is free and open to all; food and drinks will be available for sale. Pontoon rides are $2 (no children under 4), water levels and weather permitting.
