AIA’s 3rd Ward Bicycle Tour @ HCC "Central Campus" Sign

Houston Community College, Emancipation Park, Project Row Houses, Texas Southern University and more! This tour will look at the neighborhood’s character, history, and future in the center of Houston.


Reservations are required for this tour as attendance is limited.

Attendees need to bring their own bicycle. We encourage everyone to wear a helmet. If you do not have your own bicycle, you can rent a bike from Houston B-Cycle. Nearest stations are located at Holman & Main (HCC/Ensemble Metro Station) or Holman & Live Oak (Project Row Houses).

This tour will meet in front of the Houston Community College “Central Campus” sign at 1300 Holman Street.

MaTTS Project — Webinar Series @ Online

The Marine Technology for Teachers and Students (MaTTS) Project invites you to participate in its upcoming webinar series. This series of three webinars (see below) will focus on how to incorporate marine technology builds, ocean exploration expeditions, and live content into your classroom curriculum.

During each webinar, Inner Space Center (ISC) staff and MaTTS Project Teacher Leaders will present an overview of the MaTTS Project, ocean exploration activities, and various marine technology builds.  Learn how to incorporate these topics into your classroom curriculum.

The Creation Care Team Mission Statement:  Being earth keepers is foundational to our Christian vocation. The Creation Care Team encourages members of Christ the King Evangelical Lutheran Church to incorporate care for creation into the congregation’s full life and ministry.

AIA’s Houston Heights Bicycle Tour @ Heights Branch of the Houston Public Library

This tour explores the original footprint of the Heights, Texas’ and Houston’s first mixed-use community and home to 120 of the 215 National Register of Historic Places listed in Houston. We will look at a wide variety of building types that are historic and original to the area as well as more recent contemporary architecture and discuss how these fit into the context of the neighborhood.

Attendees need to bring their own bicycle. We encourage everyone to wear a helmet. If you do not have your own bicycle, you can rent a bike from Houston B-Cycle. The closest B-Cycle station is in Stude Park.
