Memorial Park Conservancy’s Native Plant Grow Out @ Memorial Park Conservancy Greenhouse

You’re invited to join Memorial Park Conservancy in growing native plants for the Park. Volunteers will work in the Park Greenhouse planting, weeding, watering, and caring for native Texas wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, and trees. No experience necessary!

Volunteers must be 12 and older and accompanied by a parent or guardian. Adults over 18 will sign in at the event; children must have a waiver, available by emailing volunteer@memorialparkconservancy.org.

DIRECTIONS

Once entering the maintenance facility at 6501 Memorial Drive, continue straight past the house and green gate, then turn right and park in front of the MPC logo.

BBP’s young professionals group, Bayou Buddies, invites you to join the “Love Generation” for an evening at the original home of Love Street Light Circus and Feelgood Machine, Houston’s most popular psychedelic club in the late 1960s and now home to Buffalo Bayou Partnership.
DJ Felix will provide a tailored soundtrack for the night, and there will be plenty of light bites and beverages to enjoy.  60s threads are encouraged!
After the party, we’ll head on over to our neighbors on Main Street, Moving Sidewalk, the official Love Street after-party bar!

Houstonians, ages 9 and up, are invited to join Buffalo Bayou Partnership for community-wide volunteer days at Buffalo Bayou Park happening the third Saturday of each month. Whether volunteering as a large or small group, or individually, your efforts will lead to a healthier environment and a more aesthetically pleasing amenity for all to enjoy.

Volunteers will help with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: trash pick-up, mulching and weed removal. We do ask that all volunteers bring their own work gloves. All other necessary work tools will be provided by BBP.

This event promotes the health and fitness of our corporate community and provides a great opportunity to network with fellow Houstonians. The race is one of a kind in Houston and around the country featuring an unassigned staggered start. The 5K main loop course will remain open at Memorial Park over a four day period from October 23-26, 2017. Just select one day that week when you’d like to run or walk and then show up anytime that day between 4-8pm. Don’t worry about being late in the Houston traffic or getting stuck in a meeting that runs long. YOU CHOOSE what day and time fits best with your schedule! No matter which of the four days you choose to sign up, you can enjoy refreshments afterwards in our hospitality tent along with the chance to network with the rest of the Houston corporate community. A portion of all registration and sponsorship proceeds will directly benefit the Memorial Park Conservancy, which is committed to restoring, preserving and enhancing Memorial Park for the enjoyment of all Houstonians, today and tomorrow. You are invited to this year’s Buffalo Bayou Partnership Gala, Sunset on the Bayou on Thursday, November 2, 2017, from 6:30 to 10:00 PM. Guests will dine al fresco on the beautiful lawn at The Water Works in Buffalo Bayou Park while honoring Susan Keeton and celebrating renovation of the historic Sunset Coffee Building.
