BBP’s young professionals group, Bayou Buddies, invites you to join the “Love Generation” for an evening at the original home of Love Street Light Circus and Feelgood Machine, Houston’s most popular psychedelic club in the late 1960s and now home to Buffalo Bayou Partnership.
DJ Felix will provide a tailored soundtrack for the night, and there will be plenty of light bites and beverages to enjoy.  60s threads are encouraged!
After the party, we’ll head on over to our neighbors on Main Street, Moving Sidewalk, the official Love Street after-party bar!

Energy Day is Houston’s largest FREE family festival showcasing exhibits focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Energy Day will feature exciting exhibits and interactive demonstrations that will teach students and their families about various forms of energy and how through STEM education, they can find an exciting career in the energy industry. With the support of our local schools and energy experts, it’s our hope that students and families who attend can learn something new and develop an interest in STEM education.

Youth Making Ripples Film Submission Deadline

Image result for youth making ripples logoThe Youth Making Ripples Contest is an ocean conservation-inspired film festival and competition which challenges K–12 students to produce short ocean documentaries (< 5 min.) about problems that face the ocean, and possible solutions to these issues. The website provides film maker resources, examples of previous winning films, and submission details. Students can win small scholarships and participate on the annual shark tagging expedition. The deadline for submission is December 5th, 2017.

The 2018 Youth Making Ripples Film Festival will take place on January 25, 2018 and will be hosted by the Mote Marine Laboratory. A portion of the festival will focus specifically on plastic pollution and feature Motes new exhibit called “Sea Debris: Awareness through Art”. Check back soon for details and information.
