Undergraduate environmental research opportunity! An undergraduate researcher is needed starting immediately to participate in a research project associated with the buying and selling of CO2 rights. In particular, this student would be researching literature on land use and soil carbon storage in Texas ecosystems to help Texas ranchers make decisions on how to best increase soil carbon inventories. Additionally, the student would research testing protocols to determine soil carbon content. Opportunities exist to convert this project into a senior thesis that could involve either sociological or soil science field work. This position could be work-study or could be for credit, or could be for an hourly wage.
