Particular emphasis will be placed on techniques that can be used to encourage girls and other underrepresented groups to become enthusiastically involved in STEM subjects. This event will feature a keynote address from former Hampshire College president Greg Prince regarding creative ways to spark kids’ interest in STEM; two panel discussions involving classroom and community experts; and an awards ceremony where local high schools that excel in math and science education will be recognized by CHILDREN AT RISK and El Paso Corporation.

– staffing festival booths
– doing office tasks
– working on galas and other special events
