Title: TCEQ Stakeholder Meeting Concerning Environmental Flow Standards

Description: House Bill (HB) 3 and Senate Bill (SB) 3, 80th Legislature, 2007, require the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to adopt by rule appropriate environmental flow standards for each river basin and bay system in the state. The adoption schedule, as amended, requires environmental flow standards for the river and bay systems consisting of the Sabine and NechesRivers and SabineLakeBay, and the Trinity and San JacintoRivers and GalvestonBay to be adopted by June 1, 2011.

To comply with HB 3/SB 3, TCEQ staff is proposing the creation of new 30 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 298, Environmental Flows, Subchapter A, Sabine and NechesRivers and SabineLakeBay; and Subchapter B, Trinity and San JacintoRivers and GalvestonBay.

TCEQ is holding a rule stakeholder meeting to obtain input from the public on the rulemaking required by HB 3/SB 3.

The rule stakeholder meeting will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2010, at 1:00 p.m., at TCEQ’s Offices at 12100 Park 35 Circle, Building E, Room 201, Austin, Texas. Title: An Evening at the Beach at Jones Park

Description: Visitors of all ages are invited to enjoy an afternoon of fishing, building sand castles, and playing games on the beach at Jones Park. After the sun sets, take a look at some of the stars and planets through a telescope, roast marshmallows around the campfire, and see what’s buzzing about as park staff use various sampling methods to survey nocturnal insect life. Reservations are required and may be made beginning Wednesday, August 4.

Description: TxDOT created a Rail Division in 2009 which is working now to develop a comprehensive State Rail Plan to improve our state’s rail network. Description: Measuring the impact of program services is a challenge for many nonprofits, however, foundations and corporations increasingly are asking grantees to produce outcome information that is more than the measure of output (e.g. how many served). This workshop will assist participants to begin to connect service delivery process with measurable outcomes, a step beyond measuring/reporting program outputs. Participants will gain information regarding the steps and tools needed to design, collect, and analyze program outcomes using a model that can be applied to many types of programs and services.
