At this workshop, they will cover the grant program, answer questions and demonstrate how to complete the online application, which is a new feature for this year.
In the next two to three weeks, the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) will release its application for solid waste implementation projects. The application content will be similar to past years and the application period will be approximately 30 days. Many of you require approvals from your Councils or Commissioner´s Court, therefore you may want to schedule your project for those agendas now.

New, after camp enrichment classes have just been finalized. Arboretum Members have first priority in registering for these classes which immediately follow the Nature Trekkers Summer Camps. Extend your camper’s day with summer art classes taught by City ArtWorks or Creative Movement camps that include yoga, dance, music and games. After camp classes are weeklong programs held at the Arboretum.

The purpose of GTA is to organize, educate and motivate America’s youth with regard to the continuing struggle to save our species and our planet from the effects of man-made climate alteration. There will be free beverages, including several varieties of beer served inside the actual brewery, finger foods and fun. Some great items will be awarded via drawings. The brewery is not climate controlled, so be sure to dress in cool, comfortable, casual clothing (i.e., shorts, sundresses, gauze skirts, sandals, etc.). This fundraiser will allow us to continue our work in teaching high school students across America how to go “Green.” We look forward to seeing you there!
